BEDA 8: Green goop.

I haven't really done too much since my last blog post, but I have a bunch of friends coming over for a games night in a little while and I can't guarantee they wont be gone by midnight, so here I am. BEDA day 8. Trying to find something to say.

Last night I watched the first episode of Game of Thrones with Liz, Ariana and Justin. I will admit, I was super, super tired so I was nodding off a little at parts, but I did really like what I managed to see. I'll be watching more in the next few days hopefully, so I'll give an update about that as it's relevant.

Liz and I both passed out extremely early last night (the faire really takes it out of you) so my day began around 8:30. Most of the morning was spent replying to emails I missed over the weekend and having a skype conference about a trip to Poland I may or may not be taking next week (details forthcoming, I promise). Around one, Liz and I drove up to Panera by the mall and had a freaking FEAST there (we were both just ravenous; looking back, I don't even remember tasting my tomato soup and bread-bowl combo) and then spent some time wandering around a Tokyo gifts store exclaiming about how much we love looking at cute things (such as Hello Kitty and erasers shaped like unicorns and sushi) and shopping for a birthday present for Eia (who turns 23 tomorrow!).

The afternoon has been spent cleaning up my living room for my party, coloring a picture of Rapunzel for my new tumblr, and trying to cover my ridiculous face sunburn with makeup.

I think I've resigned myself to the fact that today's blog post will just be short. In the mean time, I will leave you with this thought - I wish it were easier to get aloe vera gel onto one's scalp. Because no one wants green goop just chillin' in their hair. Sigh.

OMG, Game of Thrones is awesome. It took me a few episodes to get used to all of the sex and gore (and I'm no prude, let me tell you), but it's AMAZING. I can't wait to hear what you think of it after you watch more episodes. :)

I am not watching Game of Thrones until I finish the books. :)
Have you read them?

Enjoy your game night! :D

about your sunburn:
ok, so this sounds very strange (trust me, I was weirded out when I was told about it) but apparently, applying a shitload of cold Lipton tea on a sunburn for two nights or so, really really helps reduce the redness and heat of a sunburn.
You just get a huge bowl of water, put some lipton tea packets in it, let the water cool off, and just apply the tea all over your sunburns (face and all), and whenever it dries, add more. Obviously, at night when you're alone and stuff, unless you want to jsut smell like cold tea.
I did this in California, and I actually stopped looking like a tomato after just one night, and the pink was almost completely gone after two.

I have no idea if you want to test this out. If you don't, I am sorry for writing a freaking essay about tea in your comment page. If you do want to test it out, good luck. I hope it works and I don't look like an idiot. :P

Otherwise, I enjoy your colouring book tumblr. :P hope you had/are having fun tonight.

I have this aloe spray mist that often helps, and could be easier to get onto your scalp. I can't remember anything about it besides the fact that it comes in a spray can, so maybe this isn't actually that helpful. Will you show pictures of your unusual tan lines?

I can't read or here 'Game of Thrones' without saying it in the way Lex (tyrannosauruslexxx) said it in one of her vlogs: 'Game of Throneeeeeees *clap*' :')

If you do wind up going to Poland, I recommend not eating for a week before you go. I went to Warsaw and Krakow (University city that is south of Warsaw, I think) in 2007 and it was one of my favorite trips ever. And the food was amazing. I was there with my grandpa and a group of people from his church and we ate at a few people's homes and while the food in restaurants there is really, really good, the home cooked food was, like, indescribably good. And everybody made at least 3 things for dessert. Yeah. So if you go to Poland, go hungry :)
