Last night there was a Ren and Stimpy MARATHON on Nicktoons. A marathon, guys. So my roommates and I poured ourselves some wine and settled in for a few hours of some very intense TV watching, determined to watch as much of this show as we could handle.
I think we made it about three episodes, and I could have kept going, if I hadn't been falling asleep. And after three episodes, I still can't decide what my final opinion is on the show, watching it at age 22. I remember saying "what is going on?!" a few more times than I normally do while watching TV, but we also were laughing our heads off just as frequently. So we'll see. Final Ren and Stimpy judgement forthcoming.
So, as you may have read on Kayley or Hayley's respective blogs, fiveawesomegirls is taking a month long hiatus called "5AG Summer Break!" I know it seems sudden, after mentioning that we already had a theme picked out for this week in yesterday's blog post, but we all had a long chat yesterday afternoon. We decided it was better to give ourselves a little time off, to figure out how to continue to make upbeat and exciting videos for the remainder of the year, rather than force out creativity week after week when we're kind of not feeling it.
I'm hoping this will be a really good thing for us. That we'll come back refreshed and ready to start making videos again. Because the people who watch our videos deserve that.
There is something potentially HUGE happening in my life right now (I actually just found out about it around an hour ago), but I am not allowed to tell you anything yet. But just know that it involves possibly flying to Nashville next week, and if I could, I would be gushing all about it here on my blog. So stay tuned for exciting news in the near future.
Today has consisted of driving Justin to his job so he can drop off some papers (because his car has broken down again), aforementioned awesome news thing, eating leftover mexican food, and now I am just killing time in my living room until it's 1 o'clock. At which point I will go upstairs, put on my bright orange bathing suit, and drive over to the lake with Eia and Justin to meet up with my dad and brother to go tubing in our boat. This is such a great summer.
Not to mention I had a really great chat with Hayley yesterday (and John Green, being inappropriate, for parts of it) and the two of us are scheming again. I love when we scheme. It makes me feel all motivated and happy to know there is another person in this world who thinks so similarly to me and loves doing so many of the same things as I do. And who loves food as much as me. That's not really relevant though.
It's sunny and gorgeous and beautiful in the world today, so I'm going to go enjoy it!
This post is rather rushed, today, I'm aware, but there are more important things to do today than writing blogs - like boating! Goodbye!
Question for today: Tell me in the comments about the last time you were in such a good mood it made you goofy, and what caused you to be so happy.
Last google search: "alaska cruise" (what, I was just curious how much it costs)

The last time I was in such a good mood it made me goofy was when there was a Harry Potter day on TV with the films, interviews and making-of's. It was awesome. I spent the whole day in front of the screen but it was worth it because I was REALLY happy afterwards.
I think the last time I was goofy happy was when my Dad drove me out to the middle of nowhere to take photos of all these little old stone houses, just plonked in the middle of fields. They're so beautiful and alone and are collapsing in and I love them so much :) I'm a geek for old things and I just loved taking photos of them
And Kristina I am DIEING to know your news! You can't leave us in suspense like that!
When I sent out my last batch of query letters. It makes me ridiculously optimistic.
I think that the last time I was in such a good mood that it made me goofy was when I started talking to my best friend Taylor again. I hadn't seen nor talked to her in two years, and we still had so much in common. (Such as both of us all of a sudden loving Harry Potter, even though neither of us had read it before back when we were talking.)
I think I might know what is that is so huge and you found out around an hour ago. Not entirely sure, but quite certain. IF I'm right, congrats!!! ;)
The last time I was goofy happy it was because I had discovered a new thing that I liked as much -or at least closely- as Harry Potter. Doctor Who :D
I haven't been in that goofy overly happy mood in ages. That makes me feel forlorn. But the last time was probably after meeting David Levithan at a book signing. He was so nice, and it made me so excited!! Only downside was John couldn't be there :(
I've gotten those happy "gushes" a lot lately. And it's got everything to do with LeakyCon 2011!:D It will be my first Con and my little sister and I are coming all the way from Norway. When I hear news over at the-leaky-cauldron.org or on the PotterCast I get überexcited :D
I'm looking forward to hearing about your exciting news, I'm sure whatever it is you deserve. Sad to hear about the 5AG summer break though, in my experience with youtube, channels rarely come back from breaks. Hopefully I'm wrong. I envy you the water tubing adventure, and I'm glad you loved the sailing, I do too. Finally, Ren and Stimpy have a fond place in my memory but I'm not sure how they'd measure up today., I'd rather go see Scott Pilgrim again.
The last time I was that happy, my antidepressants had just really started to kick in, and my stage manager had a conflict, so I got to run the show. It was a really, really good show. Granted, backstage isn't the best place to get goofy, especially when you're supposed to be in charge.
The last time I was in an insanely happy mood was Saturday when I got to meet John Green!! Actually I'm still really happy because of it :D
last time i got goofy, was on sunday, after my show. which i absolutely smashed. it went the best it ever could've went, and when lots of important people were giving me brilliant compliments, i was all blushing and couldn't string a proper sentence together! haha, it was lovely though x
I was in a sketchy-on-the-outside nice-on-the-inside Mexican restaurant with my newest best friend the last time I went goofy with happiness. We were on our day off from the camp we work at and were trying to get some real food. We saw that they had cheesecake chimichangas on the menu. We ordered one and were super excited. After the first bite, it was pure bliss and we were bouncing off the walls, yelling about how amazing it was. We're still surprised they didn't kick us out, because we were totally disturbing the other family in the restaurant. But anyways, it was amazing and fantastic and perfect.
The last time I was so goofy with happiness is when my best friend stayed over. I don't even know why it made me so goofy because we didn't do anything special. We just watched movies and stuff but he makes me laugh so easily and I just love being with him. So, I guess I am ridiculously glad of having such an awesome friend :)
Ah. Giddy happiness. Well.
This past weekend I was at Otakuthon, an enormous Anime Convention in Montreal, and my friend and his dance crew did a dance that opened the entire convention and they were just so GOOD and hot and epic and my other friend and I were just laughing our heads off cause it just made us so HAPPY. LOL.
And I'm also very curious about your news. :)
The last time was when I finished my last semester of pharmacy school. It was tough, but I was so happy to be done with it that I was giddy!
OMG Kristina check it out

The last time I was in a goofy mood was the night my friend told me he had started watching the B2.0 videos. I was about to go to sleep and it ended my day on a very good note.
The last time I was completely slap happy was a few weeks ago the last night with all of my co-counselors at Orlando Ballet summer program. We stayed up til 4, had jumping contests off of the couch onto a mattress, and ate copious amounts of sugar. We were so happy to be rid of the kids, but also so sad to leave each other that all we could do was be ridiculous. Oh, and I've been on an Alaskan cruise (holland america line in 2005) and it was the best vacation I've ever been on. If you can afford it, DO IT!!!
The last time I was in such a good mood was this past Friday, actually! My friend is in Scotland for 2 years and the only communication we have is via the good ol' postal service. I hadn't heard from him in a while so getting a letter from him felt like the greatest thing ever. I couldn't stop smiling all day, or laughing at inside jokes he mentioned that had no relevance to anything going on at the time in my day.
Ah! So much excitement! I can't handle the suspense!
Last thing to really make me giddy... John Green replied to one of my YouTube comments? Wow. That's really all I can think of. Oh! Ferris Bueller! I watched it for the first time in years earlier today and it made me happy. :)
This afternoon, I cut my brother's longer-than-shoulder-length hair off. And then buzzed it. Now it's about half an inch long. I spent the rest of the day petting his head. Plus I go back to school soon and am beyond pumped about it. Nearly everything has some possibility to become goofy/wonderful/fun
oh gosh.. actually, i thought i was going to have think really hard but last night was pretty goofy. i was telling my friend about adrien grenier and how adorable he is and i said he was in this great 90s cheese movie called 'drive me crazy' and she said she'd never seen it and i was aghast. so we syncing up our online streams and chatted the night away watching and gushing over melissa joan hart and grenier and the 90s and how adorable this movie is and it was just really wonderful. like we were hanging out even though we were just online chatting XD WOO INTERNET NERDS.
my last google search: nashville antm
:)
My last moment like that was today :D I just started my junior year of high school today, but school actually began last week. I missed the first seven days of school to go to Japan with my mom to see my brother! My brother (28) is fluent in Japanese, and teaches English in a city called Kuki... he had a bunch of time off work for the Obon holiday :) We went to Tokyo, Nikko/Kinugawa, Sendai, Matsushima, and Kitakata <3 It was loads of fun.
But that's actually not why I'm so happy xD I'm happy because I was scared to death of the schoolwork I'd have to make up when I got home (3 AP classes), but I actually only have a little bit! Hooray! ^_^
It's so odd that your big exciting opportunity has to do with going to Nashville! I just found out about a week ago that I have to move to Nashville as soon as our house can sell! :) Which is big and exciting due to the fact that I've never been there nor do I know anyone there.
OHMYGOD. Is it ANTM? That's the only one someone guessed, right? Oh please, oh please, oh please.
But, you know, even if it isn't, congratulations on whatever it is. :)
