I have this friend, Sarah, who was forced to move with her family to Montana when we were 17.
Ever since then we've kept in contact, minimal but always there.
I seem to have this weird 6th sense for knowing when we need to reach each other.
Once I emailed her on the day her cousin hung himself.
Once I emailed her on the day her grandma was in the hospital from a stroke.
Once I texted her the day her dog died.
Last night I had a dream about how I needed to find her phone number to contact her about something, because I actually don't have her number ever since she got a new phone. Then, TODAY, I get this text message from an unknown number, and it says "Hey Tina it's Sarah. This is my new number. I am moving back to Washington on Sunday. Excited? I can't wait to see you."
...WHAT?

I think that you are actually a time traveler in the future. But you just traveled back to the past a couple years and got stuck so you began causing events to make your life more synchronized and happier and better for the stuck in the past you. Maybe you will meet her in the future and she will give you her time travel machine and then you will repeat the process over again.

that is so cool! my best friend and i have fell out of touch a few times b/c well we were petty teenagers, but when we came back together it would always be when we needed each other the most... without even knowing it.
I was watching Gossip Girl before I read this, and for some reaason I thought Sarah was "Georgina" and nearly cussed out poor innocent Sarah.
But woah. Crazy stuff.
