I had the weirdest dream last night.
Okay, I guess it wasn't really a dream, since the weird part happened while I was half awake, but it was in that half sleep-half awake stage, so I'm calling it a dream.
So anyway, I went to bed really late last night. Like 3:30. So you can imagine why, when I woke up at 7:05, I was pretty disoriented. After 3 1/2 hours of sleep, for some reason, my groggy brain told me that the red digital 7:05 staring back at me meant I was level 705 and my character (in this virtual dream game I was playing?) no longer needed sleep. I remember being so upset, because I was really, really tired, and I grappled with this for what felt like a half hour but in actuality was probably only a minute or so.
Then, finally, consciousness started to settle over me and I remembered how clocks worked. I remembered my alarm was set for 10 AM so I went back to sleep. xD
My class was canceled today! So I've been trying to get as much stuff done as I possibly can this morning. So far I've gotten myself caught up on emails (going out of town for a few days is just torture on my inbox - I don't understand how they can just pile up like that in a few days. I don't remember who it was, but someone on twitter said recently "your email inbox is a to-do list other people make for you" and that is so true) and I also worked on editing a video I am posting on my channel next Tuesday. I am pretty excited about it, and think that many of you will like it.
My friends Liz and Bekah are coming over today, and we're hopping in my car to drive down to Portland. My uncle lives outside of Portland, so we're staying with him tonight, getting up disgustingly early, and going to the America's Next Top Model casting call.
Yep. I'm actually doing it. I'm bringing my camera, too, so hopefully I'll have a video of that experience up for you guys relatively soon. I'm kind of nervous, actually, because I don't know what they're going to have me do. Probably just ask me some questions on camera, I'm assuming. I think I'll be pretty good at that. Also, I don't know what to wear. Maybe I need to flip through some old ANTM judging panels and see what the girls wore to those. xD
Also, if by some miraculous stroke of good fortune I DO get chosen, they're filming in May-July. That directly conflicts with finishing college and summer tour. So.... if it's all right with you guys, I'm mostly doing this for fun. But I will definitely find a way to make it happen if the Gods of Makeup reach down and scoop me up, dumping me into a house with 12 other girls in LA.
So wish me luck! The casting call is tomorrow morning! I'll be sleepy!

I am excited for the mysterious Tuesday video. You and Luke combined = digital/visual/video awesome!
Good luck on ANTM! If you make it, I think the experience totally warrants missing half of this semester and finding another way to finish college. =]
Yay! You have no idea how excited this makes me that you're going for ANTM =D
Even if you don't make it, like you said, it'll be fun and another awesome experience to check off your list.
However, I do think that you would make an incredible model, so I really hope you do get through.
So, GOOD LUCK!
<3
I think it was John Green that said that about your inbox (or maybe he was just retweeting someone)
Good luck tomorrow! I hope they let you film so we get an inside look.
Why were you searching 'power chords'?
I'm intrigued. I hate power chords, they drive me mad :)
ANTM would be lucky to have you Kristina!
Good luck with ANTM! In the end, it's definitely a cool experience to audition.
I'm excited for that video that is coming up on Tuesday!
Good luck with the ANTM. I'm not a fan of the show, but if you're there I'd definitley watch every episode :]Also can't wait for the upcoming videos! Good luck and have fun!!
LUCK!! I too am excited for said mystery video. :D

- You know what? The sort of shallow individual who auditions for "America's Next Top Model" is the sort of person I would never want to know personally. Ever.
- Oh, and for the record? You're a terrible writer. I will never buy a book by you if the quality of the writing matches the appalling quality displayed in this blog. Hayley G. Hoover is an extraordinary writer, and I don't know whether she purposefully puts far more effort into each of her blog entries or whether it comes naturally to her, but every single one of her posts is a drop of gold while each of your entries never fail to be shambolic, rambling piles of nonsense.
- Alex Day's music infinitely better than yours. He relies not on autotuning but on pure talent.
Good luck with ANTM! I honestly think you have a chance! Can't wait to see the video of the process regardless. We'll all pray to the Gods of Makeup for you.
Also can't wait to see the video. Thus far every video with you and Luke has been fairly phenominal.
The clock thing happens to me all the time! I mean, not the virtual dream level aspect, but if I wake up in the middle of the night it takes me a few minutes to figure out what time it is really; the numbers just don't seem to register right away.
Anyway, good luck at the casting call!
That quote was tweeted by John Green. Though I'm pretty sure he was quoting someone else at the time.
KRISTINA!! If you haven't already done so, you need to watch Meekakitty's youtube video about going to casting calls!
When I watched it I was like "this would be super awesome for Kristina". But I reckon skinny jeans, heels, and a black or white tank top. No massive jewelry, and simple makeup and you'll be perfect!! They have lots of info and all the forms you need to do on the ANTM site and stuff, so I am sure you'll be fine!
Make sure you send out some tweets too, cause that'll be awesome!
Yayy, good luck! =].
And I'm quite excited for the Tuesday video, aha.
Good luck! :)
Also, I really hope this video plays for me. I've missed out on watching so many videos that promised to be amazing because of the YouTube overhaul mucking up the whole video function for me. :(
Break a leg!
I'm super excited that you're going for it =)
Good luck, Kristina!
Good luck!:)
@Melissa... Do you even go here?
1- Kristina is not a shallow person, at all. If you think she is, then you shouldn't be so hypocrtical and say how you would never want to be friends with her, as you're reading her personal blog.
2- Who cares if Hayley writes better? A blog isn't meant to be a novel. Kristina's just telling her fans what she's been up to, as well as her friends, family, and her future self. Hayley and Kristina are two different people with different talents. To compare friends like that is just as shallow as you're claiming yourself not to be.
3- I'm not going to say much, besides Kristina Wrocks. And stop using the "u autotune ur voice" diss. Nobody cares.
Ah, good luck! I hope you get chosen! And I also hope that, once you're chosen, you don't have to delete your channel or blog or anything like that! Gah I'm so excited!
oh my gosh,haha,good luck!
and WATCH tessa's modeling videos!!!
Good luck for ANTM! But not really, cause I couldn't bear you not making music or videos for so long. But good luck. ARGH! Conflicting emotions, get ahold of yourself! So good luck, I hope you get chosen, and I hope you turn them down :P
Last night I had this dream that I picked a pimple and a section of my head cracked off like an eggshell, so you could see my brain, and there were spiderwebs in there. I'm basically terrified of touching my pimples now.
I hope you get in to ANTM. It would be fun to see an online personality on a show like that. Do it for the Nerdfighters! Good luck!
WOAH. Just read Melissa's comment.
@Kristina: Don't listen to her. What kind of person writes something so untruthfully horrid in the comments? Oh wait, I know the answer to that; a bitch.
You're awesome Kristina. Period!
Oh my god, you're going? Good luck! :D I really hope it works out!
@Melissa
1. A shallow sort of person is one who has to put others down to make themselves feel good ;) Like wasting one's time posting hater comments that are completely untrue
2. No one's forcing you to read Kristina's blog but she is in no way a terrible writer. A blog is about expressing yourself its not about literary perfection. Hayley and Kristina are both great at this and honestly the rivalry between the two is fictional and I'm sure that Hayley would not agree with your comment at all.
3. First, umm wth does Alex Day's music have to do with this blog post. I'm currently wearing my ALL CAPS shirt and so I have to disagree with this point. If you ever heard Kristina live then you know she can sing. And who really cares about the autotuning on the album?? I mean its not like she's claiming that its not autotune or anything. I like it as I think it takes the album to a whole new level. Thats just my opinion and your entitled to yours, but have you ever heard the saying "if you don't have anything nice to say- don't say it."
Also Kristina is putting herself out on the internet and we need to respect her for that. Who are we to judge someone's creativity?
------
Good Luck with ANTM Kristina! Although I will be sad if I miss seeing you this summer on tour xD
Good luck Kristina! I really hope you have a great time auditioning. I don't watch ANTM, but if you get chosen I definitely will =)
And @melissa, I ask you as a fellow human being to get a life. Bashing Kristina only makes YOU look like a jackass, not her. So go do something valuable with your life and help an elderly woman across the street instead of contributing to the suckage that prevents society from advancing in a positive way.
Also, you seem to have forgotten that Hayley and Kristina are FRIENDS. You claim to like Hayley so much better, but do you really think she'll appreciate you ripping into one of her best friends?
Good luck with the ANTM casting call tomorrow! :D I'm sure you'll do great, and if you make it please don't forget about all of us here on the internet ^__^
And @Melissa, there is no need to be so rude. Kristina is in no way selfish. She's got a great personality, and puts a lot of care into everything. Kristina and Hayley are FRIENDS, I'm sure they wouldn't agree with you in the slightest. Who needs to compare her to Alex? She is an absolutely amazing singer. So, they use auto tune.. I don't see how this makes her a bad singer..? And is anyone forcing you to read her blog? I don't think so. So leave, and take your hater comments with you. And maybe do a little research on the person your trying to hate on, because all your points are completely wrong.
You're basically the definiton of awesome, Kristina. Don't listen to people like her. DFTBA!
Good luck Kristina!! =D
@Melissa
I just read your comment... you're a little dochebag bitch
Love you Kristina :)
What about Monday videos? If you get it, they will probably not let you film videos for 5AG.
1) America's Next Top Model, as she said, is just a laugh. Leave her alone.
2) Hayley's blog is great, yes. But come on. "Back To The Future Game", the 705 dream, those were fantastic reads. It's a blog. It's fun. I enjoy it. Others do too. You're an idiot.
3) WHAT? Suddenly I'm brought into this? Autotune isn't a bad thing, Luke uses it as an effect, not a necessity, have you even heard Kristina sing ever? Geez.
Get a fucking clue.
Don't listen to the idiots, Kristina. We have your back.
Melissa, honey, I hope you realise the irony of calling Kristina - and all people who audition for ANTM - 'shallow'. That's such a superficial snap judgement to make; how is that anything BUT shallow?
Also, comparing Kristina's creative outlets to those of her best friend and her ex is such a bitch move, so don't even try to play the 'constructive criticism' card. You're being nothing but spiteful. Obvious troll is obvious; try a bit harder next time, doll.
Take your self-loathing elsewhere.
Good luck!
I look forward to having new videos to watch..!
As for what you should wear, would this be at all relevant or helpful? haha i have no idea. http://www.youtube.com/user/meekakitty?blend=1&ob=4#p/u/13/8ROaq4WBj3U
I just read Melissa's comment above.
KRISTINA, SHE IS WRONG
1. You are not shallow. She's generalising. Generalisations are often wrong. I've followed you on various sites all over the internet for some time now, and I've never seen you actually be shallow, but always warm and caring to your friends. Being interested in fashion or wanting to be on a reality TV show doesn't make you shallow.
2. I will buy the first book you write and publish. Your blogs are always entertaining, thoughtful and well written, and I enjoy reading them. I don't think you can really compare writers across a medium like blogger, either.
3. I LOVE your music. I have heard you sing without autotune before, and I'm very jealous of your voice. Autotune is an effect, and suits the sort of electronic style of music you and Luke tend to make. I don't care, and I don't consider it cheating, because you're open about the fact that you sometimes use it, and you sound amazing without it, too.
I'm so excited to hear how the audition went - write a blog post about it!!!!!!
Do you follow Katrina Vandenberg on twitter? Because I think it was her who said that. I really like following her. Sometimes she's just linking to poetry magazines, but every once in a while she comes up with gems like that.
Good luck, Kristina! You being on ANTM is just about the only thing that would get me to watch that show. It's just not my style, but I think you would definitely make it more so. Although I would miss you very, very much at the Akron stop of ROFLCOPTOUR this summer!!
You're having the audition right now, aren't you? According to your twitter :)
I'm sure it's going AWESOME!!!
Guys, ignore the bad comments. They don't even deserve attention.
Hope your audition is going really well! It's a great experience, even if you don't want to go on the show.
Once I had a half-asleep dream that I was a giant spring, and that I was bouncing around a local music venue and wrecking the place. Even though the weird part of the dream is clearly that I was a spring rather than, you know, me, my half-asleep brain was amazed that I was in the venue and my bed at the same time, and I was convinced that I'd broken the space-time continuum and was trying to figure out how to tell people so that they'd believe me. That was a weird night!
