Finals, Twilight, and America's Next Top Model.

You guys are all way too amazing.

I'm sorry I hadn't blogged in such a long time and then just hit you out of nowhere with a moody, mid-collegiate-crisis type episode, but the amount of people who told me they were feeling the exact same way made me realize that sometimes, being honest about my shortcomings can do just as much good as being fun and entertaining does.

Though, I promise I'll try to be fun and entertaining more often than I am gloomy and introspective.

Today I have my Human Sexuality final exam (and I am incredibly nervous, since I not only have to take the final, I also have to immediately after do a retake of Exam 2 to try and get a higher grade; how much knowledge can I really cram in my head?!), but then that class will be OVER. Then I can focus on finishing my 15 page research paper on madness and insanity with regard to Circus/Carnival side shows for my CHID class and study for my Journalism & Lit final on Wednesday, and then I will be DONE WITH WINTER QUARTER. That will feel so, so good.

So this morning I was wasting some time on Facebook instead of studying. For some reason I was reading my wall-to-wall with my old coworker, Coral, and I happened to read back as far as 2007. We were talking about Twilight, and something we said to each other, LONG before Breaking Dawn was ever released to the public, made me laugh so hard I had to share it with you guys (it goes newest to oldest, so read hers first and then mine):

Click on that image if blogger makes it too small to read.

I can't believe we just totally called it like that. No WONDER I laughed my entire way through that book; I hadn't even remembered that this conversation ever took place. So anyway, that amused me.

Finals week is situated so badly in TV programming. xD Lost is back on, Gossip Girl started last week, America's Next Top Model also started last week, and FlashForward starts up again this week. How is a girl supposed to study when all of her favorite shows are on again? Not to mention I am halfway through Season 1 of Avatar: The Last Airbender. My roommate Justin and I have been completely hooked (thank you Netflix); we've been watching 2-3 episodes a day if we have time.

Speaking of America's Next Top Model, if this new season has already started, that means there's GOT to be some information coming soon about auditions for the next cycle. If anyone hears anything, please let me know! I'm still totally serious about auditioning.

I'm going to end this blog post with the advice that stuck out to me the most from the comments of my last entry:

"My honest advice for you: don't over-think things... not even a little bit! If you want to do something, and you have the means, do it! Plan for tomorrow and live for today. :)" -Rivvy

Here's to planning for tomorrow but living for today. <3

Avatar the last airbender is possibly the best (animated) TV show in the history of (animated) TV shows! No one gets it when I tell them about it; they just think it's another anime, but it's SO much more than that! I kind of think of it as like an animated adventure sit com, but people don't understand.
Did you know they're making a real life (as in real actors) movie version? It looks terrible though. The ads are horrible. It makes me sad.

Thank you so much for mentioning that FlashForward starts again this week!

I'm abroad without access to ABC or Hulu and couldn't remember when it started again!

It makes me happy to hear that you like Avatar, and it has just inspired me to finish watching the series. Only got, like, half-way through it before it tumbled off into the void of other half-finished projects I've started. :P

If you made it on to ANTM I think I would shit my pants with excitement. Sorry for the language, but no other words quite cut it. You're a season ahead of us, I believe.

Avatar the last airbender is so good. I love it because it's so unexpectedly good for an animated show. The plot is good, the subplots are sometimes even better...

If you got on ANTM I'd start watching again XD sometimes I can't believe they've already done so many seasons.

Zomg. I would be so excited if you got onto America's Next Top Model. I could so see you there. Except they might not take you just cause you're not likely to cause drama. xD

Applications due April 6th. Hurry!

And that Twilight facebook conversation is the funniest thing ever. I died. "That goes against all things natural." Yes, it really does.

if you get on ANTM i will seriously watch religiously every week hhahahahah. <3

If you are selected for ANTM, they'll make you take down all of your videos, blog posts, and internet stuff. There was a girl who was pretty active on flickr and other sites a few seasons ago, and they made her take down everything.

All my favourite shows are on too! I've been watching Skins and The Office on the internet because I'm in Italy and can't really watch them at home. I actually prefer it this way because I don't have to deal with the stupid adverts. It really makes me realise how awesome the internet is. It's right in the middle of midterms though so that really isn't helping. I just have this horrible urge to procrastinate studying for them. Last night I had this unbelievable desire to learn the Thriller dance. And I did it! Next up is mastering the moonwalk. Just you wait, Kristina. When Infinitis comes around I will unleash my Michael Jackson dancing moves to the world!!

The Vagabond said...

Update: I just found ANOTHER way to procrastinate. Turns out Brad and Angelina are here in Florence with their kids. I'm thinking they're gong to need a tour guide that speaks English, don't you? I should probably find them and help them out ; )

OH MY GOD!
I've been thinking "What if Kristina, who shares so many of my interests, also liked Avatar:TLA? Nah, probably not."
I take that back now. Awesome. The last three episodes are the best by far, but I also recommend (did I spell that right?) Book 3 Chapter 8, it's really cool. Are you going to watch the non-animated movie this summer?
What you and your friend talked about on Facebook totally creeped me out. You guys are psychic or something.
The only thing left would be if you also liked NCIS. But since you've never blogged or vlogged about that, I guess not. Can't have it all, right?
Okay, enough of my rambling. Bye!

Elisabeth said...

But sometimes Kristina is gloomy and introspective and isn't entertaining because she doesn't feel like it. You're a real person, not a 2D cartoon character (although that could be awesome).

I think you'd make an awesome model. I would even watch that show if you were on it, which I normally wouldn't (I don't live in the US)

Jehnay said...

Rumor has is that cycle 16 is all plus size models, similar to how cycles 13 was all petite.

Maggie said...

Oh man, Avatar is so awesome. Season 3 in my favorite.

I don't care if it's technically a kids' show; the story is great, character development fabulous, and the animation is beautiful. Yip yip!

chelsea said...

Maybe Stephenie Meyer was facebook stalking you and saw that and thought "Oh my gosh, that's perfect!" and so she copied your friend's idea. Hey, it could happen, at least it would explain Breaking Dawn.

I agree with everyone else, I say go for ANTM, their potential rules shouldn't hold you back from trying out.
