Fifteen???!

I had lunch with my mom today. She works about 25 minutes away from me, so I just popped over on her lunch break and she took me to this cute little farmer's market.

I don't know why I don't go to farmer's markets more often. Everyone has these adorable booths with food they've grown themselves, and it's so much more personal and meaningful than buying food at a grocery store. I got to taste all sorts of wonderfully ripe cherries and slices of crisp, fresh apples.

One booth was selling all these little bundles of flavored noodles, and they looked so delicious I ended up buying a Spinach Garlic one and a Tomato Basil one. The lady selling them was so cute. I just love supporting people like that. Makes me feel good about myself.

I also bought a large bag of snap peas, which just seem like the best TV watching snack. On that note, I have two episodes of Community left, which makes me incredibly sad, as the show has recently shot up into my list of favorite TV shows of all time. At least it'll come back on for more seasons. :)

The real reason for this blog post is that when we headed back to my mom's office after lunch, she asked if I wanted to come inside for awhile. She's only worked at this job for a couple years so I'd actually never been inside before. I know my parents enjoy showing me off to their coworkers (haha) and I love knowing more about my parents' lives (the parts you don't normally see, you know?) so I headed inside. Right when we walked in the door, a man stood up and shouted, "Look, it's the Unicorn Warrior!!" Hahhaa. Do you see what you guys have done??!

It's always funny to me that people like my parent's coworkers watch my videos. I always forget that my demographic isn't JUST random people I don't know, approximately ages 13-19, mostly girls. I get reminded all the time, but it always just slips my mind. So I did a fair amount of blushing.

My mom walked me around and introduced me to everyone, which was nice. Two ladies asked me how old I was, and did a double take when I said "twenty-three". "We thought you were going to say fifteen or something like that!" they exclaimed.

Fifteen? Really? Guys, I'm 5'10". I thought I had that distinguished "college-grad" look about me, but I guess not. Haha. Fifteen. Wow.

Now I'm just home, pondering ways to cook flavored noodles that won't be disappointing with my lack of culinary skills. Guess that's why I have google.com. :D

When I was working in customer service earlier this year, I had so many customers ask me if I was old enough to be working yet...and I'm 24. Haha. Some adults just think everyone looks young.

Even though I think I have kind of a baby face people always think I'm in college. People like my neighbors and my cousins. Maybe it's just that they're forgetful... I feel like they should know, though.

It must be so cool to be recognized! And don't go doubting your mad culinary skills!

awww farmer's markets are the best. My parents go more than I do to our local one, but I try to hit it up as much as I can. Fifteen is definitely an age that people would guess me for being. I'm always getting asked what school I go to and then shocking people when I say the name of my college. They always expect a high school, it makes me kind of sad lol.

Hmmm, 13 year old girls? Well, I suppose that, as a 25 year old male, I fall into that sort of outlier territory.

We're fortunate to have lots of farmers markets here in Virginia, including several AMAZING ones between us and the Outer Banks. The drive there should really only take about an hour and a half, but it always takes 3-4 hours because you have to stop and check out the deliciousness. I do, however, make it a point to avoid the farmer's market/shack that advertises "on-site smokehouse" and "fireworks" right next to each other. Also seems a little bit unsafe to me.

I LOVE the personal experience of meeting with the people who are directly involved with the production of your food. Farmer's markets and stuff are usually more expensive, but the food's also so much better!

And it is absolutely hilarious that your mom's coworkers watch you on Youtube.

I went to dinner recently with my family when I was visiting home. The waitress gave my niece a child's menu and asked me if I needed one... *sigh* I'm 23.

Lol I know how you feel being mistaken for much younger than you actually are. When people hear I recently graduated, they assume I mean from high school rather than college.
My family came back from a Disney World trip recently. We ate at a bunch of fancy Disney Resort restaurants and, at one, our waiter took away the wine glass settings for my sister and I presumably because he thought we were underage. I'm 25. My sister is 22.

You definitely look older then 15! I'm 19 years old and 5'2, I can't go anywhere without my ID cause everyone think I'm 16 or so. Definitely not funny, so I know how you feel..

im about 17 and i've had people ask me if i was in my mid 20's before. it makes getting in rated r movies a lot easier, but it makes hanging out with my friends, who all are about 5 feet, very awkward.

i met you in person on the triple rainbow awesome tour, and you definitely don't look 15! :P

I'm 17, and it always surprises people when I tell them that, because they usually think I'm 12-14. (I'm a little over 5'2") :D

Yay! I love Community too! I just started watching it a few months ago and went through it so fast. I can't wait for more!

I tend to get the "So what grade are you in?" question from lots of people, and then I awkwardly explain that I got my bachelors degree a couple of years ago...

And on a side note, when you mentioned Sondre Lerche in your last post, I looked him up and have been listening to his music nonstop since, so thank you so much for the recommendation!! I was really needing some new music and he's so good!

I'm 23 too. I work with kids and one time a parent came in and asked to see whoever was in charge. When I said that would be me they looked at me like I was crazy and said, "oh, you look like your 12" so yeah, 15 would be a step up lol.

Ha, a similar thing happened to my sister and I at the beach the other day. The two of us were swimming in the ocean and my mum was on the shore talking to some woman she'd just decided to chat with. The woman said my sister and I looked like we were 13 and 16. I am 19 and my sister is 24. I take it as a compliment I suppose; my sister and I just look young I guess.

I'm 5' 10" and 21 and people always think I'm like 16! Maybe it's because I wear nerdy T-shirts and converse... oh well.

I have been in many farmer's markets and I love going there and buy some good vegetable and fruits as well because you can get fresh products and at low prices, but I also like to go to an online pharmacy site and order some products things
