Gas station wedding.

It occurred to me the other day that formspring is a dying internet trend, and that despite that, I still have a lot of really great questions waiting to be answered in my inbox.
Also on this wave-length is the fact that I haven't been blogging nearly enough recently either. SO why not kill two birds with one stone? I'm going to start answering the leftover formspring questions at the end of my blog posts until I am out of questions. :)

Yesterday I worked a 9 hour shift at work (the worst) and even though I was working with my two favorite co-workers, it was still a really, long boring day.

In fact, there are only 2 good parts about the days I work these long shifts at work, and they are as follows:
1. When the phones aren't ringing, I have a lot of time to kill and the Internet in front of me, so this is when/where I answer a lot of email, organize stuff on Deviantart, and reply to facebook/youtube messages.
2. I get a lunch break during my shift, and there is a Chipotle five minutes away. Long shifts equal chipotle burrito. Every time.

Across the street from the theatre I work at is this old fashioned historical gas station. It's not in use or anything; the guy who owns it keeps all sorts of weird stuff inside (like a life-sized plastic Santa Claus) and when we have our summer Art Walks, bands play outside or whatever. There is literally no point to it aside from looking cool.

But it doesn't look THAT cool. Not cool enough to get your wedding photos taken in front of it. Which is what some people were doing yesterday.

It was just too bizarre for me to look out the widow and see a woman in a flowing white gown posing in front of an old yellow and red gas pump on dirty blacktop. I mean, okay, maybe you're into old things. Maybe you're into gas. Maybe you're into standing two feet from a busy street by cars that don't look like they're from the same time period as your beloved gas station. And this wouldn't be that weird if it only happened once, but this was the fourth or fifth time we in the box office have seen wedding photos being taken there. Weirdos.

I don't know about the rest of you, but there will be no petroleum in my wedding photos.

Q. Being from the PNW, how do you feel about Idaho?
A. I was about to say I have only ever driven through Idaho, but then I remembered that's where Silverwood is! Therefore, Idaho rules. :D

Q. What is your job besides youtube?
A. Since I reference it a lot on here... I work in the Box Office of a live theatre. We do 4 musicals and 1 straight play a year.

Q. What is Luke's opinion of your forehead?
A. Super turned on by it.

Q. I'm not kidding you, today someone commented on my youtube video telling me how much they like my forehead. Do you have any advice on how to deal with this.
A. Laugh with them. Seriously, that's all you can do. I know they were telling they like something about you and not making fun of you, but I've found if you're secure about yourself, it makes it a lot harder for people to tease.

Q. I love Sondre Lerche too! Have you seen Dan in Real Life? He composed the entire soundtrack.
A. Yes! I actually saw that movie in theatres for that very reason. :)

Q. Inspired by a different question: If you could go back in time to when you were 11 and get a Hogwarts letter, effectively wiping the past 11 (right? or almost?) years of your life and all of your experiences with life, love, and friends... would you?
A. Honestly? No. I have had an incredibly amazing life so far and wouldn't trade it for anything, not even magical powers.

you're lucky to have such a strong belief in the incredibleness of your life and where you are and where you're going. i'm unendingly jealous.

Friday, I went on a date with a boy. Yesterday, I made said boy measure his forehead. He, indeed, has a fourhead. I have a fivehead. I'm not sure if we are compatible.

Also, what's football doing our your TV? Off! Get this off!

Have a lovely day. :]

This comment doesnt really have a point but your blogs (and videos etc) just really cheer me up and make me look for the positives in life. Thanks. I hope you have a good day! :)

Theres this really cool pizza place near my house called Fuel that used to be a gas station. Its decorated with old gas pumps and hub caps which actually looks really cool, but I'd never get my wedding pictures there. Five heads unite!

Good answer to that last question. I hadn't thought of it that way. If I could go back and go to Hogwarts, I never would have met any of my friends or anything.
The Harry Potter fandom is enough for me, I think.
Although, if the Doctor came to get me...that'd be a different story. xD

Your forehead is beautiful, Kristina. It looks like a baby. :P

I more than likely wouldn't get my wedding photos taken there, but depending on how "rustic" it is, a good old photo shoot could possible be alright at an old gas station. But yea, definitely not a wedding. Lol.

As for me, if I were answering that last question from formspring, I'd say that I would go back to when I was 11 and start over.
And that makes me realize that I can take something away from your example: I can, from now on, attempt to live my life in a way that, if I was asked that question, I would have a similar answer as you.
And that is why I think you are such a youtube/blog success with people waiting to read your entries and watch your vids. You just live and love whatever you're doing as much as possible.

Wow, sorry for the long comment, but it was just some ramblings I had going on in my head that proves the fact that you are, indeed, awesome =]

I just wanted to say how great it is that you're posting more frequently now, because you write well and your posts are enjoyable to read. :)

Is it just the bride getting her picture taken? If so it might be a new trend called "Trash the Dress". After the normal wedding pics are taken some brides take more "unique" pictures that might end up ruining their gown. I follow one blogger who trashed her dress while walking in a meadow/forest. The photos look great but the dress was very muddy at the bottom afterwards! Have a great week!

Thanks for answering my question about Sondre Lerche! I didn't know about his music until I saw Dan in Real life, and now he's one of my favorites. :)

I pretty much agree with the hogwarts comment, however sadly. I believe that everything in my life has led up to who I am at this moment, and I'm finally pretty happy to be myself. I think a lot of this has stemmed from realizing that nerdiness is, indeed, wonderful and not unusual at all.
DFTBA, and have an awesome day!

I'm not sure if I would erase five years of my life to get a Hogwarts letter. I think maybe I would. If only I could bring Cissy (yes, nicknamed after Narcissa Malfoy), my current best friend, I think I would do it.
Anyway, I have to get back to French class. Have a nice day!

I think it's really great that you really thought about the question of whether you choose a Harry Potter life or your own. It's easy enough for major HP fans to say that they want that over their own life without really considering their blessings and all the great stuff life has to offer.

ps- your boyfriend looks like Jonas Armstrong, the guy who is Robin Hood on that Robin Hood show. Just sayin'.

Sondre Lerche... He's from Norway. AND he is pretty cool!
I am from Noraway.... :D Wow, I've seen him live three times, he rocks!

I was about to talk about your answer to the last question, but I realized that @to_thine_own_self already said all I need to say.

Soooo, just read her comment again and pretend its from me. X]

At first, I was thinking that maybe the couple first mentioned had met there...and of course my over active imagination took over:

The girl (let's call her Lisby, I don't know why, it just sounds kinda pretty...of course now I'm thinking it makes it sound like "lisp" when you say it, but oh well), Lisby, had had a very long day at work. her boss had been on her back ever since she came in ten minutes late (due to a car that wouldn't start, traffic, and the elevator that she needed to take to the third floor being out). Finally, after 8 grueling hours, she was free from the office for the day! She got in her car, popped in her favorite CD, and headed home.

Then it started to rain.

Not like a normal rain, oh no, a torrential, sadistic rain that lashed out at her car with a vengence. Reduced to a speed of a whopping 10 miles per hour, she decided to try to wait it out at the gas station up ahead. Putting the car into park, she waited out the storm for an entire forty-five and a half minutes, listening to most of the CDs she had with her.

Finally, the skies cleared, dusk was drawing near, she cranked the engine to head home. And the car wouldn't start. Frustrated, she angrily got out of the car and preceded to tell it off and kick the front tires. After her anger had been satiated, she noticed she had an audience. A handsome man, around the same age as her clapped his hands and said to her "that was quite a performance, does the lovely actress have a name?" "Clara," (yeah I didn't like the name Lisby anymore)she said, fully embarrassed by her behavior. he offered to jump her car off for her and asked her out to dinner at Chipotle, and thus began their relationship that lead to marriage that lead to them getting picture taken at the place where they met...

but once you said you saw numerous couples getting their pictures taken their, my dreamy story no longer seems valid :-/ Ho hum.

Okay, awkward comment-love time, Kristina.

I'm having the crappiest weekend of life, I'm pretty sure (work woes, boy troubles) and woke up this morning hungover and feeling miserably sorry for myself. I am now camped out on the couch with my laptop catching up on your old blog entries while listening to ALL CAPS and Wizard Wrock on YouTube, and it's helping me forget my life for a little while. So I just want to say thanks.

Also, you rock. Keep that up.
